Momentum habit tracker app cost1/30/2024 It's crucial to become AWARE of the current game you're in, how the leveling up system works, and what it will take to upgrade. The MM system will gamify your life in 2 main ways to determine WHO you are, WHAT you want, and HOW to get it! 1) WHO you are WHAT you want. As you progress through your journey, you'll shift from "fixed-victim" convinced the world is out to get you and there's nothing you can do about it, to a "growth owner" who knows you have everything within you to overcome both in-game and real life obstacles and to gamify your life.Įvery time you earn rewards and level up using the system, you'll also level up in "REAL LIFE!" - gaining those ethical dopamine hits when you earn achievement badges, battle monsters and aliens, upgrade your battle armor, and outsmart mini games. The MM system's goal is to ensure you're both growing and maintaining balance in each of these five areas of life. I've simplified these pillars into what I call your areas of life which consist of your 1) Mindset, 2) Career & Finances, 3) Relationships, 4) Physical Healthy, and 5) Emotional health. It leverages scientific methods to trick your brain into taking action by making it 1) obvious, 2) easy/small/simple, and 3) satisfying/rewarding to do so.Īnd it incorporates game-like elements such as points, rewards, competition, and social connectivity to ensure continual growth in order to level-up your life in the main areas of happiness. The Moore Momentum System drastically reduces the friction to build more momentum every day. So after many years and iterations later, I've created my own system to gamify life. At the end of the day, despite some cool features, the "best" apps and methods I found felt like homework. The Moore Momentum Gamification System - Gamify Your Habits To Level Up Your LifeĪfter trying dozens of lifestyle gamification techniques and gamification apps, I was disappointed by the lack of structure, fun, and stickiness. Sounds simple enough, but the rub is that it's becoming harder and harder to do this for the reasons mentioned above - "advancements" are creating friction for our self discipline and ability to follow through. ![]() Ultimately you will be able to successfully gamify your life. The key to success in the game of life is figuring out what truly makes YOU happy, then continually taking action on those things until they become part of who we are via our habits. We all have systems, but in an on-demand technological world rapidly evolving in knowledge but not wisdom, most of these systems are centered around the wrong core values. What these " players" have that others don't is an effective system to master their own life. Let's look at the small % of people who ARE able to conquer those difficult tasks and new challenges - slowly but surely knocking out daily goals and gaining power ups to move the needle on their progress bars. So how do we go from " user" to " player?" How do we get unstuck on the lower levels we're trapped in to start making incremental progress toward a life full of epic meaning and calling? Rocket ships don't run on fumes, and neither do our lives. ![]() What we fail to recognize - as evidenced by the billions of wasted dollars spent on diet campaigns - is that willpower will always run out because its source derives from wishing and hoping vs fundamentally changing who we are at our core. When it comes to making changes in our lives, we mostly rely on willpower. We've become "users" whose attention is being monetized for profit at any cost, including our well being that's been pushed to the very bottom of the shareholders report. We're trapped in a failure loop that's creating friction vs helping us build momentum as low-hanging rotten fruit dopamine like serial scrolling and impulse buying become exponentially easier to grab. We all start at Level 1 full of wonder, passion, and enthusiasm, but unfortunately many of us get stuck along the way - unable to overcome the challenges before us in order to level up in life to reach our full potential. Like any game, the goal of the game of life is to win and reach the highest level possible.
